My journey into reformer Pilates began by accident after a severe
trauma. I survived a major accident that crushed my upper torso,
breaking four vertebrae, five ribs, and shattering my collarbone in
two places. Once the bones healed, I felt entirely disconnected
from my physical self. I knew that without reclaiming that
connection, I would face a lifetime of chronic pain. I started
improvising at home, using resistance bands while lying on my
treadmill. When I explained this to my physical therapist, she
pointed me toward the reformer.
It instantly made sense. The integration of mind, body, and
breath healed me in ways I never imagined possible. It is a
process that continues to shape my life today. Now, I want to
share that transformation with others. No matter your
background or your "why," it is my privilege to help you find your
own deeper connection. Through this experience, I have lived
and learned a fundamental truth: Connection to the body is the
ultimate definition of strength—they are one and the same
